FEES AND PAYMENT

In order to maintain high quality care for our patients, PACES NM will no longer be an in-network insurance provider.

 

We will continue to be an out-of-network provider, however, with most PPO Plans for all insurance providers. You are responsible for paying for the evaluation, but afterward we will provide you with a detailed invoice to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.  Use this link for questions to ask your insurance provider about your coverage for out-of-network benefits.

Non-taxed funds from Health Savings Accounts or Flex Spending Accounts can also be used toward most testing services not covered by insurance.

SELF PAY

A comprehensive evaluation is typically completed in 6 to 12 hours, depending on your child’s age and the questions you hope to answer with an evaluation.  The evaluation fee for neuropsychological testing is $125/hour.  These costs are typical for neuropsychological testing as it is a highly specialized assessment. 

 

Testing only needs to be conducted once, however, to provide information that can help your child access services for up to 3 years.

Testing includes:

• Initial diagnostic interview with parent

• Gathering and reviewing information from teacher(s)

• Reviewing previous evaluation/IEP records, when applicable

• 2-5 hours of in-person testing (depending on your child’s age and the diagnostic questions you are hoping to have answered)

• 1-2 hours of scoring by clinician

• 1-hour feedback session with parent

• 3-6 hours of report writing, with a written report of all test findings and relevant recommendations sent a few weeks after testing

 

Once an appointment has been scheduled, a $100 nonrefundable scheduling fee is charged to hold the appointment.  Patients can request to split payment (½ due the day of testing and ½ 30 days after testing) by making arrangements in advance.
